F-U-B-A-R - F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition
As creators, we experience days like this. Yesterday was a FUBAR day for me. My 90-year-old mom visited during the day. My former partner dropped our shared Labradoodle off on her way out of town earlier in the morning than expected. I’m also expecting a guest today.
Lots of stuff that displaced my normal workflow.
The danger of a FUBAR day, for me anyway, is that bad decisions are easy to make.
My self-esteem takes a hit, and I start believing the voices inside my head that remind me that I won’t succeed. I feel like throwing in the proverbial towel. Hence, the milieu is perfect for bad decisions.
I nearly made a big one yesterday. Fortunately, I vented to the right person (thanks, A.A.), who reframed the situation for me so that I could step back and reassess.
