Here’s an outreach protocol that anyone (who understands delayed gratification) can carry out, and *it will work* if you don’t give up.
Trust me, I’ve given up many times. I’ve been there more times than I can count. 🙄
The problem is that most will give up because they don’t see immediate results. That’s when you must remember that delayed gratification means that we experience the positive results of our present-day actions sometime later — and always as a result of CONTINUOUS DAILY ACTION.

As the name suggests, it’s a micro-niched copywriting service that involves revising a client’s existing copy on just three pages of their Substack newsletter.

With that in mind, here’s how I’d get the word out.
I’d contact everyone who commented, liked, subscribed, or followed one of my posts or Notes. I’d use DMs for followers and Substack’s email function for subscribers.
What would I say?
I’d thank them for showing my post/Note/publication their appreciation. I’d then pay them a compliment about their own Substack. I’d then tell them about the new service that solves [insert painful problem]. Wish them well (without selling to them).
Like this framework below:
“Hi [name] - Baz here with a note of thanks for showing some appreciation for my recent post, [link to post]. I’ve been a fan of [their Substack] for a while now, especially [insert something you appreciate about their writing focus].
“In closing, I’ll mention that I’m now offering a complete done-for-you service for [insert your target audience] that all but almost guarantees a subscription boost of 30-50 subs per month simply by employing a few copywriting tweaks on just three of their Substack’s pages.
“I’ve been having a lot of fun providing this service for folks stuck in a growth plateau. You can read about it here: [link to service description] As always, be well [name], and keep up the great writing. There are many of us who anticipate your next post!”
I’d repeat this daily, not only on Substack but also on the social media outlets where I posted about my business.
You might need a Google Sheet or Excel/Numbers spreadsheet to track your outreach.
You’d need to draft your own outreach message and in your own voice, but you can use my framework to craft yours.
